Oh, speaking of China: in Chinese class we were talking about why our favourite colours were our favourites. Mine's red, so I raised my hand and said "red", along with a couple others. The teacher asked why we liked red and I raised my hand. She knew why :v
Why is it red? I think I have an idea why lol
Actually, a component in the Chinese character for "red" means "worker". The Communist Party is commonly stated to be the "worker's party". This is why the colour red is associated most with communism, at least in China. (I guessed that by myself in class, heh. BRAAAAAIN SUUUUURGE)
